Schuberth Concept Visor

Post by cbx4evr »

Any suggestions for getting a replacement visor for a Schuberth Concept helmet?? I went to the local BMW (I forgot about the Bring My Wallet acronym) dealer and he quoted me $90 for the visor. I told him I already had the helmet, all I needed was the visor.

I'm a little ripped off about the visor anyway. It's not that it is scratched as I am anal about my cleaning technique but the coating that they put on the inside is peeling off. Should be warranty but .......

Yes Mike, CDN dollars which isn't so laughable in value any more.

Ya, anti-fog and now apparently anti-stick too. Haven't had this lid for too long and the coating is coming off. It doesn't affect my vision too much but it bothers me none the less. I'll probably end up trying to remove it all before I shell out $90 for a replacement.

I agree with you, Nick, there should be some warranty for this. I have my Concept for over two years now and all is still fine. I will check some sources for s visor. 8)

Some of the cleaners used for shields, Plexus for example, are CLEANERS as well as polishers and tend to remove thin coatings from shields. To get the remainder off one of my shields on the inside, I used WD-40 and it removed all of it w/o distorting the shield.

Hi Larry. Matter of fact there is one in good ol' GB for £33 which isn't too bad but then I asked about shipping and was quoted an additional £8.50. Is postage really that pricey in GB? Add that to it and it's the same price as buying local.
